You've no doubt probably spotted this magnificent machine on the roads already but what you may not know is that the Toyota 86 is reminiscent of the Toyota Corolla Levin series built between 1983 - 1987. In coupe form, this car is one of Toyota's truly classic cult cars. It was mentioned in the Fast & Furious Tokyo drift movie and is worthy of a brief mention to. Fast and agile were the car's strong points although in stock form was not powered by a massive engine but did have upgrades available as aftermarket modifications.

The Toyota 86 is said to be one of the best cars to drive in the South African market today. Remarkable considering that Toyota has been building pretty boring cars of late. It has to be said, however, that this car is the result of a joint project with Subaru which must have been a massive boost for both brands in terms of creating a balanced yet capable sports coupe...
